About Mrs. Clevenger

I get to spend the next school year with your student and you!  There are probably several things you are wondering about me and the other seven plus teachers your child will have this year in seventh grade.  Unfortunately, we don’t get a whole lot of time to chat, so this is the place to get a quick review of who I am.

First of all, I love teaching middle school students!  I have been working with students in this age group for about six years now in and out of the classroom.  I love their humor and passion for life.  At what other age can you find someone who can switch from ten different subjects and emotions in the span of sixty seconds?  Middle school is a time where children begin growing into teenagers and begin thinking about how they view the world outside their families’ influences for the first time.  This is an exciting time for your student!

Secondly, I teach because I love to learn.  Whether your child thinks this is a positive or a negative, I am the constant student.  My philosophy is to make education worthwhile, creative, and challenging.  Therefore, I am always looking for inspiration to revamp and enhance my teaching for your child.

Finally, I strongly believe that partnerships between home and school will make a child successful in school.  I look forward to working with my students and their families.  Please stay in contact with me throughout the year.  I will do my best to address your concerns in a timely manner, and I promise to always take my job as a mentor/teacher/role model seriously.
